The Team

We have an experienced and qualified team to support the children in our care. All staff are safely recruited in accordance with guidance from Local Authority and are Disclosure & Barring Services checked (formerly CRB). Staff also have access to relevant training in order to keep their knowledge up to date.



Tracy has worked at the Pavillion for over 25 years and in that time has not only gained an abundance of knowledge but extremely valuable experience. Tracy is Level 4 qualified and has a long list of additional qualifications/certificates which are all relevant to Childcare and Management.

The success of the Playgroup is not only down to her commitment but also the relationships that she's built up with the parents, carers and outside agencies.
Tracy believes that working together provides the best possible outcomes for both the children and the setting.


Deputy Manager

Caroline has worked here since 2004 and has a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing and continues to access additional suitable training to further develop her skills for us. Caroline has seen many changes both in the setting and with the development of how children progress, using different observations and monitoring tools.

In her role as Deputy Manager she oversees the day to day routines as well as being a key person for her allocated children in the 'Giraffe' group.
Caroline has embraced the "Tapestry" online learning journey tool which we use to share information about the children directly with Parents.


Room Leader

Lisa started out here as a parent where she was given the opportunity to work on the committee. Her passion was obvious and she started volunteering as a regular helper. Lisa has been employed with us since 2014 and has completed her level 2 and level 3 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce: Early Learning & Childcare Pathway. Her consistent dedication led to her appointment as an Assistant Supervisor before becoming our fantastic Room Leader. Lisa leads the Beavers key group.
Lisa assists the Deputy with the daily routines as well as being a key person to her allocated children.


Deputy Room Leader

Denise joined Playgroup in 1987 and has worked with us continuously since then. Denise has a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce: Early Learning & Childcare Pathway as well as a list of other qualifications all relevant to her role.

Her allocated children are called the "Badgers" who she observes and builds strong relationships with.
Denise has seen many changes in the way childcare has developed and progressed over the years which she has gained valuable experience from.


Playgroup Assistant

Sandra started working with us in January 2015. She has a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce: Early Learning & Childcare Pathway. Sandra has a number of years experience at other settings prior to joining us. She's brought with her some great ideas and suggestions that we've implemented into our own environment.

Sandra has her key group of children known as the "Owls".


Playgroup Assistant

Sarah is our newest member of staff, joining us in April 2021. Sarah has a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care. She has 2 children of her own both of them have attended this Setting. Sarah has experience from 2 previous Early Years Settings before she joined us.

Sarah has her key group of children known as the "Monkeys".


Playgroup Assistant

Jo joined us in March 2019. Jo has experience of working in settings. She has worked for Social Services and has a vast amount of knowledge working with children with Special Educational Needs. Jo has a Diploma in Nursery Nursing. Jo will lead the "Penguins" group and is looking forward to building relationships with her Key children and Parents.


Office Administrator

Jamie has been a committee member and a regular volunteer before joining us in September 2015 as our Office Administrator. Jamie is part time covering general office duties.
